Senate Majority Floor Leader Mike Kowall

Sen. Mike Kowall, R-White Lake, was first elected to the Michigan Senate in November 2010. Now in his second term, he serves as Majority Floor Leader. The lawmaker served in the Michigan House of Representatives from 1998 to 2002 and most recently was the supervisor of White Lake Township.

Lynn O’Brien – Director of District Affairs in the office of Senate Majority Floor Leader Mike Kowall, Event Chairperson

Lynn O’Brien serves as Director of District Affairs in the office of Senate Majority Floor Leader Mike Kowall. Prior to working for the Michigan Senate, Lynn worked with Senator Kowall at the Charter Township of White Lake in the planning department for close to 17 years. Lynn earned her bachelor’s degree in Public Administration and subsequently earned a degree in Paralegal studies. Lynn is responsible for directing all efforts of this committee in consultation and coordination with the exceptional committee outlined here.  Lynn can be contacted here.

Jason Allen currently serves as the Senior Deputy Director for Veterans Affairs, Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, State of Michigan.

Austin Blessing – Senior Intern, Office of Senate Majority Floor Leader Mike Kowall

Austin currently serves as Senior Intern – Office of Senate Majority Floor Leader Mike Kowall. Austin is a Junior at Central Michigan University.

Paul Chardoul – Commissioned officer, United States Naval Reserve with 3 ½ years active duty and 20 years active reserve, retiring with rank of Commander, and taught at the Naval War College

Dr. Rob Deane

Jack Devine – VVA Michigan Legislative Chair, Secretary of the National Veterans Business Development Council

Jack currently serves as VVA Michigan Legislative Chair, Secretary of the National Veterans Business Development Council, and board member of VVA Chapter 9 in Detroit. His full biography is available by clicking his name above.

Diane Donham – Reference Librarian, Library of Michigan

Diane has been a reference librarian for over 20 years, and has worked at the Library of Michigan for the last 14 of those years, providing research and reference assistance to state and legislative employees, as well to members of the public.  She has a B.A. in Environmental Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and a Masters of Library and Information Studies from the University of California, Berkeley.

Jim Dunn – Chief of Staff for Veterans Affairs, Department of Military and Veterans Affairs

Brigadier General (Ret.) Carol Ann Fausone

Mark Lindke – Former Director of the Washtenaw County Department of Veterans Affairs, and member of the Buddy-to-Buddy Volunteer Veteran Program

Major Thomas P. Shields – Commander, Military Entrance Processing Station, Detroit

Brigadier General Michael A. Stone – Assistant Adjutant General – Installations, Michigan National Guard

Brigadier General Michigan A. Stone is the Assistant Adjutant General for Installations, Michigan Army National Guard and serves as Michigan’s Dual Status Commander for domestic response situations. His full and honorable biography is attached by clicking his name above.

Dr. Richard Tooker – Medical Director, Allegan County Health Department and Allegan County Community Mental Health Services
